Jean Piaget is one of the people who did wonderful studies and researches on the growth and development of a child and this discovery has been adapted for years because of its clarity and details it gives in this subject. It’s true that every living thing has to grow after its born but in this case we are going to discuss a baby’s developmental stages as expounded by Jean Piaget and the questions that have been asked will be answered in this topic and relate them to my personal practical examples (Carey and Bascandziev, (2015).

However Piaget makes some assumptions like children have some experiences that help them make knowledge as they know things for themselves without any external disturbances for nature encourages them to learn.

In stage one Jane names it the sensorimotor stage, the period when the child has just been born to twenty four months. This is when the child is too and cannot be taken to any place to be taught for learning is majorly based on trying and erring. The child cannot remember anything and even if it’s based on the memory of the child, the mind is too young here to perceive things the child has to experience things by trying them. This is the stage that the child tries to know that object exists even when then cannot see them (Carey and Bascandziev, (2015).

Secondly this stage is called preoperational stage, the period when a child is between two years and seven years. This is majorly when the memory is forming and the child tends to be very self-centered and always finding it hard to think out of their view points. This is when the child takes there view point right and may not accommodate other people view points (Carey and Bascandziev, (2015). This is also a stage the is said to be before operation, a good example is seen with those training on how to drive, before they can be left to drive the machines they have to be trained by an experienced person, sometimes they might think that they know it all only to find out that the needed more to learn and much to unlearn. This helps them to deal with the egocentrism............................GET A PLAGIARISM FREE COPY
