Behaviorism, otherwise known as behavioral psychology, is defined as a theory of learning centered on the notion that all human behaviors are developed through conditioning. Conditioning takes place through interaction with the surroundings. Behaviorists consider that human responses to environmental incentives shape their actions. Rendering to this ideology, behavior can be studied in a methodical and apparent manner irrespective of internal mental conditions. Fundamentally, only visible behavior should be deliberated. Strict behaviorists suppose that any individual can possibly be trained to execute any task, irrespective of genetic contextual, personality characters, and internal opinions which are inside the confines of their physical competences and only necessitates the right conditioning. In this paper, I will be discussing the cognitive theory and how it can be adjusted in a curriculum content to help the learners improve their learning behavior.
The two adjustments that can be made on the curriculum content on the cognitive theory aspect is the Content Enhancement and content evaluation. On the adjustment of the content enhancement, there are three significant undertakings that can be adjusted to enable the improvement of the cognitive theory of the learning ability of students (Watson, 2017). This includes the determination of the necessary methods of learning for learner success and teaching with schedules and instructional provisions that support students as they apply suitable techniques and approaches. In this manner, the teacher highlights what the learners should absorb, or the outcome of learning and In addition, the teacher shows the process of learning.
