Framework for Ethical Decision Making Assignment

Introduction

Ethics refers to the levels and standards of behavior that directs human beings on how they need to act in many situations which they find themselves. People practice and expect ethics in businesses, governments, organizations and the society at large with all narrowing down to how one treats everyone around them (Velasquez et al. 1). The world has publicized ethics for the longest time now and gaining momentum since it brings a bad reputation to the company that or individuals who are unethical. Every organization wants publicity for the right reasons and not for ethical lapses which tend to float and hang around the company long enough to hurt the company. This discussion paper will delve into the framework of making decisions ethically in an organization.

People have confused ethics for what it is not because of a lack of understanding. Some think is the art of not following culturally accepted norms, or failing to follow the law, not belonging to a particular religion and not having similar feelings with others. Identifying ethical standards has remained a high hurdle for people in the professional and business world (Ferrell et al. 7). According to the widely accepted studies, two of the major issues in coming up with ethical standards are understanding how the ethics get applied to specific situations and how one base their standards (Velasquez et al. 1). Philosophers and ethicists have answered questions about the sources of ethical standards if they are not based on law, religion, feelings, and science................GET A PLAGIARISM FREE COPY
