(This paper thus seeks to provide a succinct analysis of the perception that Google is gradually enslaving us and making us “stupid”. In addition I will provide examples that relate to everyday life.) 

For starters the term ‘stupid’ we simply mean that, our minds steered away from the initial approach of acquiring detailed information. Since its conception in 1998, Google has served a legion of people particularly in the academic arena, consequently, a lot of hype with regards to the omniscient nature of google. People from all over the world can simply post a query on the search option and within seconds get answers, however, as the saying goes, all that glitters is not gold, Google is associated with various dysfunctional traits acquired through time spent surfing through web pages .First and foremost, the reading culture has drastically changed after the incorporation of google into our lives, previously reading was a hobby to many people but that is now a thing of the past. Before the popularisation of the googling and internet surfing, it was a major challenge to find unoccupied seats in libraries which are nowadays deserted.
