I avoid conflicts mainly because I do not like hurting other people and getting angry in the process. Disputes have the tendency of revealing the ugly side of an individual. A lot of destruction, damage, and irreversible outcomes emerge from disagreements. A good illustration can be seen from the wars that people have fought over the centuries, which have commenced due to the inability of the conflicting parties to negotiate.
