It also entails assessing whether the officers are effectively performing their patrol functions, the accuracy and completeness of their reports, the quality of the traffic enforcement citations issued by them, the quality of the arrests as reflected in the activity logs, the quality of their field interviews, and the type of image the officer project while in public. Moreover, when evaluating these officers, one needs to consider elements such as the manner in which the officers handle assigned calls, the officers' interest, ability, confidence, self-assurance, or enthusiasm in their work, whether their performance in court shows preparation, fairness, and poise, the extent to which the officers care for the organizational and personal equipment, and whether their medical records show evidence of malingering, inordinate use of sick time, or a favorable attitude towards their work.
